ACC 2008 Begins...

We have updated the website to celebrate the 2008 camp theme. This year's theme is "Under the ACC." Our evening activities include a Luau theme dance, Surf -n- Turf Game night, talent show and another dance!!!

We are trying to finalize the design for the poster and brochure. Hopefully they'll be ready by All State in Feb 08. As soon as we have the brochures designed, you can download them on the website before we even send them to the printers!

So get ready to get wet and wild for 2008!

We have the "Lily Pad" message board for all campers. We are going to use it as the "Official" message board where you can talk to other campers and help us plan for camp. (You will have to sign up to be part of the board.)

The price for camp is....

The camp tuition for ACC 2007 is $285. $10 more than last year. Start saving now. I am working on brochures and hopefully have those shipped out to printers next week. We'll put the brochures in .pdf format on the website after that.

I am doing a photo shoot Wed. for the poster so hopefully we will get the poster done by next week as well to ship to printer.

We will update the website when things get finalized.

The Theme Dance is....

ACC Theme Dance 2007 is not what you think it is. It is not a fancy ball or a classy event. We are celebrating our Sweet 16 with a Slumber Party!

The Theme of the dance is "Funky Pajama Slumber Dance Party!" More details to come, but basically we are wearing our funky (designs not smells) PJ's to the dance. (There will be a dress code concerning PJ's which we will have come up with by camp time) Wild Pillow Hair, fuzzy slippers. Silly games and some classic party songs sprinkled in for some fun.

ACC's Sweet Sixteen Choir Camp!

If you didn't buy a Camp DVD you would have never known that the theme was Sweet Sixteen. Why Sweet 16? Well as a lot of you have known, I have been to this camp ever since it started. We had been kicking around 3 potential themes and we were really close choosing one until the last day of camp. As I entered the cafeteria for breakfast, a bunch of cheerleaders came out. I started thinking about how next year is our 16th year. A 16th birthday is a milestone in one's life. So then I started thinking about all the options we had if we went with this theme.

Our theme dance has been planned. It's an easy theme and easy to dress for. Unlike this past year which was really difficult to find a good outfit. We will let you know of our plans on the website and through the blog.

Convention

I traveled down to Hot Springs this week to meet with choir directors and set up the camp booth. We had 400 campers this year and we want more to come. Clint would like 500 and that seems reasonable. Can you imagine that?

We have a theme! We are not revealing it until later this year. I will say it's an easier theme than "Once Upon A Choir Camp" and a totally laid back theme. I'm afraid girls are going to like this theme more than guys. But listen guys, if girls are into this theme, they are all going to come to camp. What better place to spend a week in summer than with these ladies. (Just think about it)

Heath with Via Media will begin working on the camp DVD. Don't expect them soon though. If you want an ok DVD then he could crank out something by the end of the week. We try to add some good stuff in there and DVD Extras and those will take some time but will be worth the wait. I say don't expect them until September.

Thought I'd let you all know that the Camp cd's have been distributed and most of you will get them at school and some will get them in the mail. Give it a month or so.

I went ahead and put some songs up so you can add them to your myspace. They are not all the songs since they only allow you to post 4. There is another group out there call acc choirs that put up last year's songs. I have no idea who started that one.
